The Health Care for Residents of Public Housing National Training Conference is a unique opportunity for clinicians, health care professionals, housing authorities, tenant associations, and others to share and learn effective practices to improve the health of residents of public housing. This is the only national conference with a focus on Public Housing Primary Care programs and other health centers that provide health services to residents of public housing.
The conference will cover topics from innovative models in health care to today's challenging health disparity issues. This three-day symposium will serve as a forum to explore methods, resources, and technologies for health care delivery. Participants will gain valuable knowledge to take back to their communities and improve the health and wellness of families living in public housing.
The early conference registration rate is $340. Residents of public housing qualify for a special reduced rate of $140. After Friday, May 28th registration will increase to $380 and $185.
Continuing Education Credits:
Continuing education credits will be available from the National Association of Social Workers, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. More information about the number of credit hours available and instructions on on how to receive these credits will be posted soon.
Conference Location and Accommodations:
A limited number of rooms at the InterContinental are available at a special conference rate:
$231+ tax per night for a single or double room.
The charge for an additional person is $35 per person, per night beginning with the third adult in the room. There will be no charge for children up to and including 18 years of age. Maximum occupancy per room is four.
The special conference rates are available until June 7, 2010 or until the room block has sold out. To receive the special conference rate listed above you must contact the InterContinental directly at 1-877-747-BOSTON and ask for reservations. Please request the rate for the National Center for Health in Public Housing (HHS-HRSA) to receive the group rate.
